Sameer Kamath has over two decades of experience across strategy, consulting, finance, digital initiatives, treasury, compliance and risk management. He is currently, the Group CFO for Avendus and is based in Mumbai. 

Sameer oversees financial management & reporting, strategy, treasury, risk and compliance, stakeholder management and technology. As Group CFO, he also executes various strategic initiatives aligned to growth plans of the Group.

Prior to joining Avendus, he worked as Director and Group Chief Financial Advisor at Motilal Oswal for 10 years, where he was part of the core team that lead the transformation of the company from a broking business to a fully diversified financial services firm.

Before Motilal Oswal, Sameer had a four-year stint with RPG Group as part of the corporate finance and business strategy team where he was responsible for implementing strategic group projects, financial management, business analysis and competition intelligence. He started his career in 1997 with a member firm of KPMG, where he spent six years, handling statutory audits, process engineering and transaction advisory.

Sameer is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a Post Graduate in Business Administration from NMIMS, Mumbai and has cleared Level II of the CFA program from CFA Institute, USA.
