Nilesh is the Head of Structured Credit business at Avendus and is based in Mumbai.

He has over 18 years of experience in financial services, banking and advisory and had joined the Avendus group in 2009. Initially at Avendus, he was heading the Structured Credit and Real Estate vertical as a part of the Investment Banking division providing debt advisory services to clients from various NBFCs, Private Credit Funds, Global Funds, Foreign Banks and other Alternate AMCs. In 2016, he set up the NBFC business and also played an important role in launching the group’s first credit fund.

Prior to Avendus, he was a part of Corporate & Investment Banking at ICICI Bank, London where he was working as a Relationship Manager with a portfolio of ~USD 500 million across large Indian business groups. Nilesh also worked in the area of Acquisition Financing, Promoter Financing, Project Financing and other Structured Finance products in the offshore market.

He holds an MBA degree from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and is a Certified Chartered Financial Analyst (Charter holder). Nilesh also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Instrumentation & Control from D.D.I.T., Nadiad.
