With over 30 years of experience in Indian financial markets, Dhiren Mehta spearheads the Risk, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit & Surveillance functions across Avendus. He oversees the development and implementation of robust risk management strategies to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Dhiren joined Avendus in 2016 from Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, where he was involved in raising capital for the NBFC and its structured credit fund from institutional investors and family offices across the country. Prior to joining KKR, he headed Fixed Income Institutional Sales at Nomura, India. He started his career with Citigroup, where he played a key role in building its fixed income and equities platform.

Dhiren was a Board Member of Primary Dealer Association of India (PDAI) from 2005 to 2007 and was also a member of the Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association’s (FIMMDA) working committee for Local Currency Credit Derivatives in India.

A Chartered Accountant by profession, Dhiren holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Sydenham College, Mumbai.
