Ranu Vohra

Ranu heads Avendus and is responsible for its overall growth. He has spent the last eighteen years in the Indian financial services industry, concluding several marquee transactions in Investment Banking and Private Equity. He is based out of Mumbai.

Prior to co-founding Avendus, Ranu worked with a Tampa (USA) based technology and media investment bank, Communications Equity Associates (CEA), and Hinduja Finance, a diversified financial services firm.

He holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi and a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

Kaushal Aggarwal

Kaushal co-heads the Financial Advisory business and leads the firm's Structured Finance operations. He has over seventeen years of global investment banking experience. He is based out of Mumbai.

Prior to co-founding Avendus, Kaushal worked with Kotak Mahindra, a leading Indian financial services firm.

He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore and a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

Gaurav Deepak

Gaurav spearheads Avendus' flagship Financial Advisory business and leads the firm's international operations. He has worked on several large and complex engagements in M&A, Private Equity Syndication, Equity Capital Markets and Fixed Income. He has more than seventeen years of global Investment Banking experience. He is based out of Mumbai.

Prior to co-founding Avendus, Gaurav worked with ICICI, a leading Indian financial services firm.

He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta and a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur.

Sanjay Nayar

Sanjay Nayar joined KKR in 2009 and is a Member and CEO of KKR India. He is also a member of the Asia Portfolio Management Committee. He is on the board of KKR's portfolio companies Alliance Tire Group, Bharti Infratel, Magma Financial Services, Dalmia Bharat Cement, and Coffee Day Holdings, and has had significant involvement with KKR's investment in Apollo Hospitals and Avantha. He also supports expanding the range of KKR's credit and capital markets offerings across the region.

Prior to joining KKR, he served as CEO of Citigroup's Indian and South Asian operations and as a member of Citigroups Management Committee and Asia Executive Operating Committee.

Mr. Nayar was the deputy chairman of the Indian Banks Association (IBA), a member of the board of US-India Business Council (USIBC), and co-chairman of the Banking Committee for the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). He also serves on the Committee of the Reserve Bank of India tasked with building a Centre for Advanced Financial Learning (CAFL). Currently, he is on the board of Habitat for Humanity, Pratham and Grameen Capital, and is a founding member of the Brookings Foundation, India. He was recently appointed to the Board of Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA), and serves as the Chairman of the Indian Private Venture Capital Association. In addition, he is also on the Board of the Indian School of Business (ISB).

Ajay Candade

Ajay Candade joined KKR in Mumbai in 2015 and is a Principal in KKR's India private equity team. At KKR, he has been involved in investments in TVS Logistics and Magma Fincorp.

Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Candade was with Warburg Pincus in Mumbai, where he was involved with investments in Alliance Tire, Continental Warehousing Corporation Limited, ICICI Bank, Max India, and Max Healthcare. Previously, he has worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York and Mumbai.

Mr. Candade holds a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T) Madras, where he graduated as a Governor's Gold medalist, and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar.
